Asif Zia

My professional teaching career started in Doha, Qatar from Cambridge University sub-centre (Bright Future Pakistani School) in 2000 and later in 2005 I joined COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Islamabad, Pakistan as a lecturer for tertiary level teaching. During my teaching career, I graduated my Master of Science in Materials and Engineering from CIIT as part-time student. In 2010 I was awarded government funded Doctoral scholarship for PhD. I joined School of Engineering and Advanced Technology (SEAT), Massey University, New Zealand in pursuance of Masters leading to PhD program. I completed my Doctoral degree in Engineering Sciences in February 2015 and was invited by the Department of Agriculture, Kobe University, Kobe, Japan as Post-doctoral Fellow in Bio-measurement Lab, where I accomplished my teaching and research assignments for one year in 2016. After teaching at tertiary level for four more years at COMSATS University, Pakistan, I returned to New Zealand for good. I intended to switch teaching Physics and Mathematics at foundation-level from tertiary-level, therefore, I joined Victoria University, Wellington for Gradate diploma in Education as a trainee teacher that completed by the end of 2021. From 2022 onwards, I plan to teach Physics, Mathematics, digital technology, and Electronics at Secondary School Level.
